Do We Need To Wipe Oil Before Touching Up Makeup Reddit

What are some "bad" makeup habits that you have or had in the past?

I'll start:

Many of my pyjama pants are stained various colours of the rainbow considering I rub my dirty eyeshadow brushes on them between colours.
Before discovering r/makeupaddiction, I would keep my mascaras for years or until they dried out. I didn't wear makeup often and didn't want to throw them away...

What are yours? I haven't seen a thread like this in a while! I'd honey to hear some new ones :P

I ever wipe my eyeshadow brushes on my arm between colors. It works, but my arm is a mess afterwards...

I keep an old dish towel on my vanity for this very purpose!

I do this on my tattooed arm, which thankfully is on the left, so that any staining is much less obvious. Also, annihilation I swatch that covers the ink in ane swipe, and sticks, I know is Solid!

Nigh 67% of the time, I go to work and realize I take makeup all over my right hand and arm. Haha.

I wipe it on the back of my hand and go to school with such amazing eyeshadow... on my paw.

I do it on my legs or pants, usually pajama pants when I'm getting ready, that way it's not on my arms when I get out...

edit: I am glad I'k not the only i. There is naked palette all over my walls, mirror, door frame, lamp post....

Sleeping with makeup on. Extra embarrassing when I practise it at a friend's/human being'southward house and get mascara on the pillow.

i do this on many lazy nights where i just arrive bed later dinner and watch tons of videos on my laptop and end up falling asleep. somehow my body internally knows "nooo you didn't wash your face up!" and i wake up in the middle of the night with this sense of urgency, wash my face, do my skincare stuff, and become back into bed haha.

I have off everything on my face in case I break out, but I about never take off eye makeup. My pillows are all covered in what seem to be permanent mascara stains :(

I have major anxiety reading all the people who do this, lol. I hate the feeling of eye makeup and a dirty face, and so the instant I'thousand home from piece of work that shit is coming off.

I do every nighttime. I tin probably count on one manus the amount of times I've washed makeup off before bed...I tin can hear the lot of you cringing from here.

Dude, wet/babe wipes! My life has inverse since I bought 2 packs. Usually when I become home tardily with makeup on I'grand really not in the mood to wash my confront (lazy), so this was the perfect solution for me. I keep one pack in my room so I bring another whenever I know there's a chance I might sleep at a friend's place.
