Nice. Video tutorials are a must this year. I think a Limnono Modifier one would be good as well

Ill see if I have time to do it.

Ill probably do a jukebox one again.

Awesome! I think tutorials like this are very important, because we often take it for granted that everyone knows these things. However, if you're new to modding or roster editing, or you've skipped a few games, you may need a little help finding out how certain basic functions work, or the basic steps of creating certain mods. Nicely done!

+1 to this. Definitely much needed for a guy like me who last played back in 2k14.

Hey TGsoGood, do you know if we can add created players to the "Official 2K Roster" as well? ... meaning that my created players would show up in a new MyCareer for example? Or another instance, that my created players would show up in the Play Now Blacktop player selection? (if I added created player to Lakers for example)

I hope that made sense! Just wondering since we can't really pick a roster on MyCareer/Blacktop ... :(

You can copy a created roster onto MyCareer, MyLeague, MyGM or Play Now using the Limnono Modifier which I have made a tutorial for here:

So in theory:
- I create my player(s)
- Head back to main menu
- I activate the tool, click refresh roster list and use "Trade Players"
- example: I trade LeBron with created player
(... anything else needed?)
- Start up MyCareer/Blacktop

Now my created player would show up instead of LeBron James in the roster for MyCareer/Blacktop?

No... don't do that. It will fuck up your save file. Go into a created roster with the created player and press the function key F3. This will copy the current roster you have opened, then you start a new MyCareer and the created player will be were ever you assigned him to.

hey, important question here, deal breaker in fact. how many created players you can have in the same roster. basically I need to have a full roster of created players, is it feasible with 2k17 without trainers?

Eventually the game crashes when you add a certain amount of created players. I can't remember how much but it's a pretty big amount, at least 200 anyway. Of course this is what happened last year, things could have changed for NBA 2K17.

The roster cap is like 104 or something (adding created player to a regular roster). You will get a message that says the roster is full.

Wish we could increase the roster Cap.

Yes mine also coz im doin 2008 rosters and I cant add my CAP to a team anymore.
ill try 2morow in limnono and try to add the hidden players. Just go to All players and take note of the players that are not in the list...and add them.

maybe that's why in my MyLeague, when I try to replace auto generated rookies with Legends, I can't find the 60's 70's players anymore in the players' list in Limnono.
you guys think?
that sucks.

you have to use limino's tool to use custom roster at the start of your mycareer if you want to incorporate legends. Search limino tool tutorial thread for instructions.
Otherwise you will not have those legends in your roster.
